The March band camp was finally over.
After going through the camp, I certainly
did learn a lot about certain people,
and many other information.
All of us tried out the water treatment
on the second day, where a tuba is
filled with water and we are supposed
to push air bubbles out of the bell.
Seems like a daunting task,
well, it was a piece of cake to me, a
and to most guys.
Only the girls failed their first attempts
and had to redo.
Only one of us did not pass,
a flute player.
Maybe flute players do not have such good air support after all.
Finally, the last day.
We hosted an exchange with 20 schools.
Westwood and coral sec were not present
for the exchanged.
Chickened out at the last min?
It was fun running around doing logistics
throughout the whole day,
but it was damn stuffy as we had some bullcrap
ventilating systems in the hall instead of air-con.
And the best part was, it made no significant changes to
the ventilation in the hall.
everyone was perspiring non-stop,
and the only time they were looking forward to would probably
be their time in our air conditioned AVA room for tuning.
And that's only a pathetic 10 min.
And the moment everyone was waiting for,
AMKSS's slot to perform!
And we did a good job by putting up a wonderful performance,
that was awarded with cheers and praises.
I think we were close to a GWH standard during that performance.
I myself could feeling the achievement at the end of the show.
All good things had to come to an end.
And for our SYF, we could only sent in 80 members,
so we excluded 2 players.
Brando had a good talk with them and they were like....
CRYING.
WEEPING.
TEARING.
Felt quite bad when I saw the tears.
They cried, but do they even think that
they deserved to be given a slot in SYF?
